Yuri Temirkanov is always happy to present new names to the public. The debuts
of young artists have also become a good tradition at the festival «Arts Square»,
where talented young musicians such as Lang Lang, Leif Ove Andsnes and Sarah
Chang have performed with the maestro.
The name of the young singer, Viktoria Yastrebova, is already well known in St. Petersburg and abroad. She performs in the leading roles at the Mariinsky Theatre, where Yuri Temirkanov once opened quite a number of talented voices.
The artist will participate in the festival «Arts Square» for the first time. Viktoria Yastrebova will be on stage twice – in a star gala concert and at the closing – when, under the direction of Maestro Temirkanov, she will perform arias of Tatiana from the opera «Eugene Onegin».
