Biography

He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Stefan Popov. Then he improved his skills in the class of the Korean cellist Yang Chang Cho at the Hochschule für Musik in Essen. He is a laureate of many international competitions. He is a founder and artistic director of the Ravanelius festival, the Cellistika ensemble, artistic director of the Belgrade Cello Fest and co-founder of the Rubicon quartet. He performs at various music festivals, plays with many European orchestras. In 2011, Dragan Djordjevic was invited by Valery Gergiev to perform as a guest cellist with the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra. He is currently a tenured professor of cello at the Faculty of Musical Arts in Belgrade.
