Biography
Oxana Shilova was born in Russia. In 2000 she graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire, having become a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers in 1999. Joined the Mariinsky Opera Company in 2007.
Oxana Shilova has toured with the Mariinsky Opera Company throughout Russia and abroad, also performing recitals with Larisa Gergieva in Belgium, Finland, the USA, France and Great Britain. She took part in a production of Shostakovich's operetta Moscow, Cheryomushki at the Opéra de Lyon, in 2006 she sang the role of Lucrezia (Lucrezia Borgia) at De Nederlandse Opera and in the 2008-2009 season she appeared in a new production of Rossini's opera Il viaggio a Reims, performing the role of Madame Cortese (Reims, Montpelier, Avignon, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Marseilles).
