Biography
Georgijs
Osokins began musical studies with his father,
S.Osokins. Among his teachers
are also S.Babayan,
M.Voskresensky and G.F.Schenck. He is prize-winner of piano competitions in Moscow, Paris, New York. In 2015, he gained international attention through
his participation at age of 19 in the Cho-
pin Competition, where he received a number of concert
invitations such as solo recital
at the prestigious “Chopin and His Europe”
festival in Warsaw, first Japan
tour, as well
as recitals in Switzerland,
Germany (including Berlin Konzerthaus), the US, Canada,
Russia, Austria, and the U.K.
Also, the label “Piano Classics” released
his debut CD album with Chopin’s late works; this recording received brave
reviews. Among his stage partners are Kremerata Baltica, Amadeus Chamber
Orchestra, Tokyo New City Orchestra, Warsaw National Philharmonic and Latvian
National Symphony. In the season 2018/2019 the artist often collaborates with
G.Kremer performing Chopin’s chamber music and works of Weinberg and
Silvestrov. Georgijs Osokins was honored with National Awards of Latvia.
