While still a student at the Gnessin Special Music School, he became interested in jazz and began playing in the Vladimir Segal youth big band at the Central House of Culture of Railway Workers. He graduated from the pop and jazz department of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (classes of A.V. Oseichuk and A.O. Kroll). After graduating from the Gnessin Academy, he became a participant in the American-Russian educational program "Open World", and performed at a jazz festival in Idaho.

He performed in many Moscow orchestras and ensembles. Together with Anatoly Kroll, he took part in the re-recording of the music for the legendary film "We are from Jazz".

In 2010, together with the singer Daria Antonova, he created the Big Jazz Orchestra, which he still leads today. The orchestra actively tours in Russia and abroad, participates in major festivals, and performs on the most prestigious stages in Moscow and other cities in the country.

In 2020, he became "musician of the year" according to Radio Jazz and won the "All Colors of Jazz" award. In 2022, he became a musical director of the "Big Jazz" project on the "Culture" TV channel.

Currently, he is a trumpet teacher at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, and leads the Academician Band orchestra of Anatoly Kroll.
