Honored Artist of Russia, Andrei Ivanov – double bassist, composer, music producer, organizer of many creative projects of the Ivanov Brothers and their international co-producing agency. He graduated from the Moscow Gnessins Academy. In 1989, with his brother Michael, won the Grand Prix at the prestigious jazz competition in Brussels, and then took part in some of the greatest jazz festivals in the world. He has cooperated with the most renowned musicians of our time, played with the Orchestra of the Moscow Philharmonic under Simonov, with the "New Russia" orchestra and "Moscow Virtuosi", as well as with D.Matsuev, G.Garanyan, I.Butman and D.Goloschekin. He has set a new direction of playing the double bass, combining jazz and academic principles of thinking. In a duet with his brother Michael, Ivanov performs extensively throughout Russia and abroad in the genre of sympho-jazz.
