Biography

He received a prestigious and multidisciplinary education at the Moscow Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (class of Vladimir Ivanov), Maastricht Conservatory (classes of Boris Belkin and Henk Gittart), Cologne Hochschule für Musik (classes of Anthony Spyri and Harald Schoneweg), postgraduate studies at the University of Salzburg “Mozarteum” (class of Pierre Amoyal) and the Cremona Stauffer Academy in a special program for orchestral concertmasters.

Andrey Rostsik participated in master classes of such musicians as Mikhail Kopelman, Emmanuel Borok, Pavel Vernikov, Pavel Berman, Yuzuko Horigome, Alexander Zemtsov, Jean-Bernard Pommier, Daniel Hope, Roman Simovich, Anton Barakhovsky and Victoria Mullova.

He has repeatedly collaborated and performed in ensembles with such performers as Lilia Zilberstein, Antonio Menezes, Candida Thompson, Yuzuko Horigome, Harriet Craig, Alan Kay and James Austin Smith.

He is a laureate of the 1st prize at the Sergei Taneyev International Chamber Music Competition (Russia), the Storioni International Chamber Music Competition (Netherlands) and the 7th HfMT Cologne Chamber Music Competition (Germany), the 1st International String Quartet Competition OneSong Competition (Taiwan).

Since September 2022, he has been a permanent member of the MusicAeterna orchestra under the direction of Teodor Currentzis.
