Biography
Vladimir Mischouk is Honoured artist of Russia, prizewinner of IX International Tchaikovsky Competition (1990) and other prestigious international competitions.
The pianist studied under famous Valentina Kunde, professors Tatiana Kravchenko and Dmitri Bashkirov. He perfected his mastery with such luminaries as Carl Schnabel, Rosalind Tureck, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Leon Fliescher and Fou Ts'ong.
Vladimir Mischouk gives more than 100 concerts annually in Russia, USA, countries of Europe and Asia. He is enthusiastically acclaimed by audience of The Grand Opera, Opera Bastille and Chatelet (Paris), La Scala (Milan), Teatro Ghione (Rome), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Schauspielhaus (Berlin), Muenchner Philharmoniker, Alte Oper (Frankfurt-am-Main), Frauenkirche (Dresden), Finland Palace (Helsinki), Suntory, Orchard, Metropolitan, Tokyo City Opera, Casals Hall (Tokyo), The Rockefeller Center (New-York), Teatro Coliseo (Buenos Aires), Grand and Small Halls of St.Petersburg Philharmonia, St.Petersburg Cappella, Grand and Small Halls of Moscow Conservatory, Mariinsky (St.Petersburg) and Bolshoi (Moscow) theatres.
Vladimir Mischouk performs with world-known orchestras, including State Symphony Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, St.Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, The Orchestra of Mariinsky Theatre, St.Petersburg Cappella Symphony Orchestra, The Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (Great Britain), Polish National Chamber Orchestra, Japanese Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo City Symphony Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera National de Paris Orchestra, Orchestre Colonne, Arturo Toscanini Symphony Orchestra, national symphony orchestras of Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Georgia, Armenia and many Russian collectives.
The pianist collaborates with such distinguished conductors as Nikolai Alexeev, Vladimir Verbitsky, Valeri Gergiev, Alexander Dmitriev, Veronika Dudarova, Igor Golovchin, Juosas Domarkas, Arnold Kats, Ken-Ichiro Kobayashi, Mikhail Pletnev, Alexander Polianichko, Vladislav Tchernoushenko, Alexander Rudin, Aleksander Titov and others.
Vladimir Mischouk devotes much time to playing chamber music in ensembles with renowned musicians, including violinists Liana Issakadze, Vadim Repin, Anton Barakhovsky, pianists Naum Shtarkman, Pavel Yegorov, Halida Dinova, cellists Ivan Monighetti, Leonid Gorokhov, Sergei Roldugin, Henri Demarquet, singers Linda Finnie, Marianna Tarassova, Olga Kondina and Elena Mirtova.
Vladimir Mischouk holds the position of Docent at the St.Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire.
The pianist’s rich artistic life is marked with a lot of important events. He guided the famous St.Petersburg Festival «Just Friends» (1992 – 2000) and musical program of the Arts Festival «Master class» (1997 – 1999) as artistic director. Thanks to his efforts the legendary pianist of the XX century Rosalind Tureck made her St.Petersburg debut. He also organized and carried out the Festival «Outstanding pupils of Dmitri Bashkirov» (1998). Vladimir Mischouk serves as a member of jury for many musical competitions. He regularly takes part in renowned international festivals.
The pianist has recorded more than 10 CDs in Russia and abroad.
