Vladimir Samsonov is a baritone soloist of the Mariinsky Theater as well as an artist of St. Petersburg State Theater of Musical Comedy and the “Looking Glass” Children's Musical Theater.
He is an Honored Artist of Russia (2000) and a winner of an international contest of opera singers named after Mario del Monaco (Italy, 1994), a winner of the Grand Prix International Festival “Engagement of St. Petersburg”.
Vladimir Samsonov used to be a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia in 1995-1998. He is a graduate of Leningrad Conservatory. The extensive musical range of this singer from St. Petersburg encompasses opera, operetta, stage, musical, old Russian romances and many other genres. His concert programs include Soviet and Russian folk songs.
