Biography
A.Shustin is a concertmaster of The St.Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, Laureate of The International Competitions, Honored artist of Russia and Chevalier of the
Order "For Merit for the Country" (II degree).
From 1977 to 1992 he worked for the Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia and Conservatory.
Since 1992 he has been a soloist and a concertmaster of The St.Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra. In the same year he became a leader of Stravinsky Quartet.
As the concertmaster of The St.Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra he took part in tours in Russia and abroad (UK, Germany, France, Turkey, Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Spain, Taiwan). As soloist he performed with philharmonic orchestras of Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk and with orchestras of Ankara, Istanbul and Zagreb.
He collaborated with famous conductors, such as: E.Svetlanov, G.Rozhdestvennsky. Y.Temirkanov, A.Kaz, V.Sinaysky, G.Provatorov, Y.Toyama, K.Komazu, J.-P.Totrelier, R.Trory, M.Hoffmann, W.Nelson and others.
For many years Alexander Shustin has worked for St. Petersburg Conservatory.
Alexander Shustin graduated from the Novosibirsk Conservatory and the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music.
