Evgeny Izotov

Biography
Evgeny Izotov graduated from Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory, then continued his education at this Conservatory as a postgraduate student and at the same time finished the postgraduate studies with honour in Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, where he was awarded with the diploma of Superior Concert Performer (Diplom Superieur de Concertiste). His teachers were Nina Seregina, Elena Semishina, Marian Rybicki. In the framework of master-classes he took lessons by Dmitry Bashkirov, Gidon Kremer, William Nabore, Karl-Heinz Kammerling , Lasar Berman and Gary Hoffman.
The pianist successfully combines the intensive concert activities with the teacher’s work. Since 2004 Eugene has been teaching chamber music in Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory and working as a visiting professor at Silla University in Pusan (South Korea) since 2008.
Evgeny was awarded the first Grand-Prix at the age of 15. Then were a lot of awards at the different competitions; among them are the first place and special prize at the International Competition of Higher Schools in Takasaki (Japan), the first award at the International Competition of Piano Academy, which was founded by Teo Liven (Como,Italy), the second award at the International Competition of George Enescu (Bucharest, Romania), the highest awards in Cernancelhe (Portugal) and “Mee sur Seine” (France).
Since he was a student Evgeny Izotov has been actively appearing on the stage in Russia, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Brazil. His name can be seen on the playbills of the best concert halls such as Saint-Petersburg halls, Wigmore Hall (London), the Sage Gateshead (England), City Hall (Hong-Kong), Palace Le Corum Montpellier, Salle Cortot and Theatre de Bouffes du Nord(Paris), Schloss Nymphenburg(Munich), the Casals-Hall (Tokyo), Pusan Art Center (S.Korea), etc.
Evgeny took part in many different music festivals; among them are Harrogate in England, Busoni in Bolzano(Italy), Algarve in Portugal, Radio France Montpellier, Grand Piano Festival(S.Korea).
He played with the orchestras of the Hermitage Theatre, Saint-Petersburg Academic Capella, Petrozavodsk Philarmonic, as well as with the orchestra “Moldova” (Romania), Curitiba Festival Orchestra (Brasil), Pusan Philarmonic Orchestra (South Korea) and co-operated with conductors Alexander Tchernushenko, Alexander Anissimov, Carlo Palecci, Jin Heyoun Back, Emil Simon.
