Biography

Australian soprano Eleanor Lyons is a 1st Prize Winner of the IX International Elena Obraztsova Opera Singers Competition (2013).

Eleanor studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as well as having attended the Mariinsky Academy for Young Opera Singers, Russia (2010-2011), and the Royal Northern College of Music, UK (2011-2012).

He has performed in the Sydney Opera House, and on the opera stages and concert platforms in Russia, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. In 2013 she participated in the prestigious XXth ‘Avant Garde to Today’ festival at the St.Petersburg Grand Philharmonic Hall. She also appeared as a soloist at the 2013 Wexford Opera Festival. As well as Maxim Mironov she took part in the gala-concert, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Elena Obraztsova’s creative activity at the Historical Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow on December 26th, 2013.

Coming engagements include solo recitals in New York and Tokyo, and also Anne’s role in The Rake’s Progress by Stravinsky in the Hungarian State Opera.
