Biography

Stanislav Kochanovsky graduated with honors at the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire studied organ, choral and opera-symphonic conducting. From 2010 to 2015 Stanislav was Chief conductor of the State Safonov Philharmonic Orchestra. His activity already includes more than 50 symphonic programs, 5 festivals and 7 opera productions. Highlights were Scriabin's Prometheus Poem of fire and Symphony No.3 Le Divin Poeme, Rachmaninov Cycle including new Aleko production, Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde. 2013 brought him an invitation to conduct a Stars of the White Nights festival concert with the Mariinsky Orchestra. Kochanovsky also collaborates with the Moscow and St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestras, Russian National Orchestra, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, State Symphony Orchestra Novaya Rossiya. Kochanovsky has performed with the soloists as Mikhail Pletnev, Michele Campanella, Denis Matsuev, Alexei Volodin, Sergei Babayan, Polina Osetinskaya, Victor Tretyakov, Vadim Gluzman, Sergei Krylov, Nicola Benedetti, Sergei Roldugin, Maria Guleghina, Anna Netrebko, Olga Borodina, Evgeny Nikitin, Arkadi Shilkloper, Boris Andrianov, Alena Baeva, Alexander Buzlov, Alexander Ramm, Narek Hahnazaryan, Filipp Kopachevsky, Lukas Geniusas, Valery Sokolov, Marc Bouchkov, Pavel Milyukov, Miroslav Kultyshev etc. In addition to engagements in Russia, his international career is also developing quickly. Debut appearances in recent years have taken him to the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Academia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Netherlands Radio Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Belgium National Orchestra, Orchestre National de Toulouse, Orchestre National de Lyon, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, Stuttgart Radio Orchestra, Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, NHK Symphony Orchestra (Japan), Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, China National Symphony Orchestra, Israel Symphony Orchestra etc. Last years Kochanovsky made new opera productions: Pique Dame and Eugene Onegin (Opernhaus Zurich), Iolanta (Opera Florence), Prince Igor (National Opera Netherlands) and Boris Godunov (Korean National Opera). Stanislav Kochanovsky has more than thirty operas and ballets in his repertoire. Summer 2017 Kochanovsky made debut at prestigious Verbier Festival.
