Katarzyna Mackiewicz

Soprano

Biography

Katarzyna was born in Poland. She is known as laureate of international vocal competitions. Winner of "Golden Soffit", the Top Theater Award of St. Petersburg. The best actress of Musical Theater “The Choice of the Thirty Three", Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg. In 2009 she graduated with honors from State Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov in St. Petersburg.

Since 2011 she has been guest soloist of M. Dzhalil Opera Theater in Kazan.

Since 2009 she has been soloist of the State Musical Comedy Theatre in St. Petersburg.

Since 2011 she takes part in the annual "International Festival named after F. Chaliapin" held in Kazan. Since 2012, she has successfully held her solo concerts in the Small St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall. She participated in the tour of the Tatar Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in the cities of Holland and Belgium. In April 2013, within the International Operetta Festival held in Hungary, she sang in operetta "Countess Maritza" on the stage of Operetta Theater in Budapest. In 2012, she performed on stage of the Cologne Philharmonic Hall with Johann Strauss Orchestra.

The singer’s concert activity is quite intensive. She has performed in the Philharmonic Halls in Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Warsaw, Petrozavodsk, Arkhangelsk, NizhnyNovgorod, St. Petersburg (Grand and Small Philharmonic Halls). She maintains cooperation with the Polish Institute, participating in promotion of the Polish culture and music abroad, her concerts were held in Prague, Podgorica, Astana, Rome, Kotlas, Tallinn, Vilnius, St. Petersburg and Moscow.

From 2004 to 2005, she was soloist of the Academy of Young Singers of MariinskyTheatre.
From 2002 to 2004, she was student of the Vocal and Acting Department of the Academy of Music named after Jan Paderewski (Poznan, Poland)

Katarzyna holds several special awards including the awards granted by the Ministry of Culture of Poland.
