Alexander Neubauer

Biography

Alexander Neubauer was born in Wagna / Styria and received his first musical lessons on the Styrian harmonica. He studied clarinet at the Conservatory of the City of Graz and subsequently at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
Already during his studies he played as a substitute among others with the Vienna Philharmonic, the Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin Philharmonic and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra.

Since 1999 he has been Clarinetist and Bass Clarinetist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, since 2011 Deputy Solo Clarinetist.

As a soloist he performed with the Wiener Concert-Verein, the Junge Philharmonie Wien, the Tiroler Kammerensemble InnStrumenti, the Ambassade Orchestra Vienna, the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra and the Philharmonic Györ concertos by Mozart, Süssmayer, Copland, Stamitz, Pleyel among others.

Since 2013, Alexander
Neubauer is a professor at the Music and Art University of the City of Vienna.
