Biography
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Alejandro Del Angel studied music at the National Conservatory of Music and at the National School of Music of Mexico. He was a member of the opera studio "Taller de Perfeccionamiento Operístico" and Opera Studio Bellas Artes of the Opera National in Mexico.
Alejandro Del Angel’s recent & future engagements include Turiddu Cavalleria Rusticana at Prague National opera, Rodolfo La Boheme, Macduff Macbeth, Gennaro Lucrezia Borgia, Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi - at the Aalto-Musiktheater in Essen as a member of the company, Gastone La Traviata (covering the tenor Jonas Kauffman as Alfredo and Andrea Chenier with M° Marco Armiliato) at Opera de Monte-Carlo, Erster Geharnischter The Magic Flute, Abdallo Nabucco, Second Jew Salome as a member of the IOS at Opernhaus Zürich.
Past engagements include Abdallo Nabucco, Borsa Rigoletto, Malcolm Macbeth, Second Jew Salome, Elpenor Die Odyssee as a member of the IOS at Opernhaus Zürich, Alfredo Traviata, Macduff Macbeth, B.F. Pinkerton Madama Butterfly, Werther Werther, Rodolfo La Boheme, Edgardo Lucia di Lammermoor - all at Mexico EOBA, Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi Mexico SIVAM, Requiem Verdi, Symphony 9 Beethoven, Misa Criolla y Navidad Nuestra by Ariel Ramírez, Requiem Mozart - in different concert halls in Mexico. Alejandro has worked with conductors like Nicola Luisotti, Donato Renzetti, Simone Young, Srba Dinic, Marcus Poschner and Adrian Kelly. He has won the First place at the National Opera Singing Competition "Fanny Anitua" in Durango, Mexico, Audience Prize XV “Nuevas Voces ciudad de Sevilla” Spain, First place XI International Singing Competition Sinaloa, District winner Kansas Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions 2021, Third Place Stanisław Moniuszko vocal competition in Poland 2022.
