Vasilisa Berzhanskaya

Biography

Vasilisa Berzhanskaya was born in Essentuki. In the season 2011-2012 she worked as a soloist of the North-Caucasian State Philharmonic, since 2012 Vasilisa has been a student of the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music (sub-faculty of academic solo vocal, class of Prof. R. Lisitsian), and a soloist of the Academy’s Opera Studio. In 2014 Vasilisa took a position of an gest soloist at the State Primorsky Opera and Ballet Theatre (Vladivostok). In June 2014 she has performed the role of Queen of Night in Mozart’s opera Die Zauberflöte in «Teatre Alegria» (Barcelona, Spain).

Vasilisa Berzhanskaya is a winner of numerous international competitions including the International Students Vocal Competition «Bella voce» (First Prize, Moscow, 2012) and Elena Obraztsova’s International Chamber Music Competition in memory of C. Badia (Second Prize and Special Prize, St.Petersburg, 2014). In December 2014 she was announced as a finalist of the Grand Opera Competition of the TV Channel Cultura (Moscow, 2014).
