Viktor Khussu was born in Leningrad in 1953. In 1982 he graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory where he studied under Vladimir Kurlin. Since 1978 he has been member of the Mariinsky Orchestra. He performs at the Great and Small halls of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, Sheremetev Palace, Maltese Chapel Concert Hall and other concert venues of St Petersburg. He also played solo and ensemble concerts in Kiev, Seoul, Guangzhou and other cities. His records on LP and CD include works by Handel, Vivaldi, Pasculli and Saint-Saëns.

Viktor Khussu successfully combines his performing activities with teaching at the Secondary Special Music School of the St Petersburg Conservatory.
