Paul Kaspar studied with Prof. Rudolf Macudzinski in Bratislava, Prof. Frantisek Rauch in Prague and finished his studies with Prof. Ludwig Hoffmann in Munich.

The Czech pianist regularly appears all over Europe, Israel, Turkey, China, Mexico, U.S.A. and Canada.

Alongside Czech composers Antonin Dvorak, Bedrich Smetana, Leos Janacek, Bohuslav Martinu and Vitezslav Novak his repertoire ranges from Viennese Classicism to George Gershwin as well as contemporary music.

He has worked with several conductors such as Petr Altrichter, Jiri Kout, Jan Kucera, Libor Pesek, Rastislav Stur, Jan Talich, Allessndro Crudele, Charles Olivieri Munroe, Fan Tao, Heiko Mathias Förster, Dirk Kaftan, Nicola Giuliani, Rui Massena, Allesandro Murzi, Roberto Paternostro, Mladen Tarbuk, Enrico Batiz and Fahrettin Kerimov.

His numerous concert appearances around the globe brought him together with notable symphonic orchestras such as the Prague Symphony Orchestra – FOK, Prague Radio Symphonic Orchestra, Janacek Philharmonic Ostrava, Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia, North Czech Philharmonic Teplice, The Slovak State Philharmonic Kosice, Talich Chamber Orchestra, Janacek Chamber Orchestra, Graz Philharmonic Orchestra, Westphalia New Philharmonic Orchestra, South-west German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim, Hofer Concert Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Radio-Symphony Orchestra China, Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, Orchextra Romana, Antalya Symphony Orchestra, Mexico National Symphony Orchestra and others.

The prominent German composer Roman Leistner-Mayer dedicated his Piano Concerto to Kaspar, which he premiered in 2001 and which was recorded by the Bayerischer Rundfunk. With the Prazak Quartet he premiered the Piano Quintet by Czech composer Otomar Kvech at the Prague Rudolfinum.

For years Kaspar has engaged in chamber music, amongst others with the Quartet of the Berlin Philharmonic and the Prazak Quartet, with cellists Michal Kanka and Jiri Hanousek, with soprano Simona Satura-Houda, tenor Miroslav Dvorsky and baritone Bryn Terfel, with flautist Roman Novotny and most recently with Austrian violinist Thomas-Albertus Irnberger.

Paul Kaspar has recorded for numerous broadcast stations, such as the Bayerischer Rundfunk, Hessischer Rundfunk, Norddeutscher Rundfunk, Südwestfunk, Radio Bremen, RAI, Czech Radio, and others.

His album of Piano works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Joseph Haydn was released by Artesmon in 2010 as well as a recording with Czech flautist Roman Novotny containing works by Francis Poulenc, Bohuslav Martinu, Darius Milhaud and Francois Borne.

For the Swiss Label Tudor Kaspar recorded Bohuslav Martinu’s piano works on 4 discs and received only the best reviews by international press.

Gramola has just published the new CD with works of Karl Goldmark (1830-1915) together with the violinist Thomas Albertus Irnberger.

In the coming Fall a further Goldmark's - CD production, and always with GRAMOLA, has been already planned, that is Piano Trio Op. 4 and the second Suite for Violin and Piano Op.43.
